About Cousins Italian Deli

Located at 7 N 3rd St, Wilmington, NC 28401, Cousins Italian Deli operates as an italian deli serving Wilmington in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 10 am–2:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 384 reviews, which is a strong result for an italian deli in Wilmington and suggests consistent service.

Wilmington is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Wilmington is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Joe and Debby host an authentic family dining experience. Plan ahead for a reservation. Come hungry. The food is delicious, wonderdul variety, hight quality, and with real authentic flavor, perfectly cooked shrimp, tender chicken, amazing eggplant rollatini and more. The family style ambiance is traditional and reminds me of trips to Italy. Hats off to the family for great service and a unique dining experience in Wilmington.

Have you ever gone to a restaurant and suddenly you are flooded with memories of good food and family? Cousins Italian Deli took me back to my Nana's kitchen on a Sunday after church. Perfect white tablecloths were set with plates of fresh Italian bread. Appetizer platters with assorted seafood, meat and vegetable options would have been enough, but were, in fact, just the beginning. Several courses of spectacular homemade food served in generous bowls for the table were presented. A crisp salad with a simple vinegar based dressing was followed by a penne pasta in delicious sauce that clearly cooked slowly, soaking up the cook's love and skill. The chicken was perfectly fried in a light batter and accompanied by a scrumptious sauted broccoli in oil and garlic. Finally, a platter of dessert came out an we feasted on a spice cake with cream cheese icing and fresh vanilla biscotti. The cannoli looked yummy, but I'll have to try it next time. Cousins will for sure be the first place I call for special occasions and for family dinners.

It was my families second time at Cousins. Food in Wilmington is great but Cousins tops the cake. Apps and bruschetta - amazing. Pasta - perfect. Chicken was so so tender. Desserts made by cousins were fantastic. They have the whole Friday and Saturday night down to a science!! Other restaurants could and should learn from them

We waited close to a year to finally attend the prefix six course italian meal last night. We attended with another coupe, with red wine ready. The atmosphere was vibrant, the service attentive and friendly. We felt like family for two hours. The food was solid and well prepared for such a large collective group and more then ample. We even saw some table with boxes for left overs. So impressed by our experience we made a new reservation in October to attend there six course Sicilian dinner. It was a fun, very affordable dinning experience.

We did the five course family-style dinner, and every single dish was delicious, each course somehow better than the last. The dessert course was the perfect finale - I’m still thinking about the carrot cake 24 hours later! The warm, welcoming ambiance made it an ideal spot for date night. We also loved that the owners came around to chat with each tableβ€”it made the whole evening feel extra special. We’ll definitely be back!
